Programs for children and youth providing a warm and welcoming environment
NROCRC Playgroups, under the Best Start initiative provide free of cost drop-in playgroups for mothers, fathers and caregivers of children 0-6 years of age.
Quality after school programming at Manordale Public School and at Parkwood Hills.
In partnership with the Caring and Sharing Exchange, Christmas Exchange provides a one-time seasonal food voucher or hamper to low-income individuals and families.
The Emergency Baby Cupboard provides once a month support of diapers for children of all ages and limited quantities of formula and/or milk for babies (0-6 months).
The Snowsuit Fund is available for low-income families with children ages 0-14 years who are in need of snow suits.
Tools 4 School provides the basic age appropriate school supplies and a back pack to children starting school in September.
In partnership with the Salvation Army, Toy Mountain provides toys for children ages 0-12 years.
Our youth advisory committee provides a safe space for youth to come together to make suggestions, explore their needs and an opportunity to develop life and social skills.
Short-term youth counselling services are offered free of charge to youth ages 12-17 years residing within NROCRC's catchment.
The Youth Drop-In provides a safe space for youth ages 9 to 13 to gather and take part in a variety of games and fun activities.
