project step is a community-wide initiative to ensure young people and their families have access to support, treatment, education, and prevention of problematic substance and technology use. project step partners deliver addictions counselling, prevention education, and family support in every publicly funded high school and five community-based schools in Ottawa. Rural Ottawa Youth Mental Health Collective - Mental health support for rural Ottawa youth ages 12 - 24. The goal of the Rural Ottawa Youth Mental Health Collective (ROYMHC) is to help rural Ottawa youth feel supported if they need mental health help and making sure they know where to go for support if they need it. We know there are challenges with accessing mental health supports that are unique to rural Ottawa youth. Whether it's distance, transportation, not knowing what resources exist, or a lack of privacy / ability to access existing resources, we are listening to your concerns and working hard to ensure that you feel supported. Play Free is the City of Ottawa’s lineup of free drop-in activities for children and youth. The Play Free initiative is to encourage young people to participate and get active.
Children and youth (aged 17 and under) and accompanying adults do not pay for these drop-in activities for all of 2024.
